펄스UV 램프 (PULSE
UV LAMP)
|

Xenon Corporation has over 40 years of high intensity pulsed UV lamp design
and manufacturing to meet industry, research and educational needs. Our
engineers are experts at delivering the optimum light footprint for each
application.

MATCHING
OPTICAL
FOOTPRINT
|
Many
applications require lamp designs that are matched to the target “footprint”.
Traditionally, mercury UV lamps have been limited to short arc or linear lamp
designs. There are no such limits on pulsed UV lamps. The ability to shape the
lamp to the application, providing better uniformity and enhanced matching of
the UV light with the substrate, is a benefit for demanding applications.
Illustrating the flexibility inherent in being able to choose the shape of a
lamp, is Xenon’s unique
spiral lamp* design, specifically developed for Optical Disc manufacturing. The
spiral lamp design provides better uniformity and enhanced matching of the UV
light across the substrate. Spiral shaped pulsed UV lamps meet the need for
fast, low heat adhesive bonding of two polycarbonate discs as well as complete
curing of thick top-layer coatings used with new formats such as Blu-ray Disc™.

CUT-OFF
|
Critical to the successful use of pulsed UV light systems, is the design of
optics, energy discharge components and lamps. Our experience in matching the
reflector, lamp and electrical energy components of a pulsed UV curing or
sterilization system insures delivering what our customers need - a system best
suited for their specific application.
We manufacture all of our many mercury free lamps, for both curing and
sterilization applications. In approaching the design of a pulsed UV lamp, we
have several options to insure the spectrum best fits the application. One is to
select the lamp envelope material to provide a resulting sharp spectra filter.
The illustration shows the different transmission characteristics of four lamp
types available from Xenon. In general, each lamp material offers features that
align with different application requirements. For surface treatment,
sterilization and other applications, ozone produced by lamp C and D is useful.
All lamp types are interchangeable. Selection of a lamp type, as well as
information on lamp spectra, is best done with the help of a Xenon Application
Engineer.

Lamp A: UV경화용
370 nm spectral cut-off point: best for visible
light cures. No ozone produced.
Lamp B: UV경화용
240 nm spectral
cut-off point: optimum UV performance. No ozone produced.
Lamp
C: UV살균용
190 nm spectral cut-off point: cuts off deeper UV. Some ozone
produced.
Lamp D: UV세정용
160 nm spectral cut-off point: allows
deep UV. Some ozone produced.
